Johnnie Willis Smith

Johnnie Willis Smith 60 of Ray, Ohio passed away December 14, 2007 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1947 in Rock Cave, West Virginia, son of Verna Amanda Blankenship Cline and the late James Richard Smith. He is married to Dianna Sherritt Smith who survives.

John was a retired boil maker, a member of Wilksville Orphans Friend Lodge # 275 , the Wilksville Eastern Star # 207, and the Wilksville American Legion.

He is survived by 3 sons John, Jim, and Joe Smith, a step son Dallas Such III, a daughter Charlotte Mullins, stepdaughters Melissa Bartlett, Mary West, and Tonya Such, several grandchildren, brothers Carl Smith of Ray, Albert and James Smith both of Byer, Ohio, Jimmie Coombs, of the Philippines, and Jerry Coombs of Tennessee, and a sister Regina Smith of Oak Hill.

John was preceded in death by a daughter Amanda Smith, half brothers Lerrie Coombs and James Smith, and a half sister Mildred Flint.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home 201 W. High St. McArthur, Ohio. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Harrison Twp. Vinton Co. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8PM. Masonic Services will be held at 7:30PM Monday at the funeral home.
