Rosie Marie Corbin, 78, of Zaleski, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007 at O?Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. She was born April 5, 1929 in Wood County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Pearl E. and Esther Lockard Wigal. Rosie was the widow of the late Harley E. Corbin.
She was a member of the Redman Lodge in Athens and the Zaleski Freewill Baptist Church.
Rosie is survived by three sons, Darrell Shirley Corbin of Zaleski, Clyde Betty Corbin of Zaleski and Jim Deborah Corbin of Albany; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one brother, Everett Wigal of Newark and four sisters, Glenna Bennett of Newark, Ida Mace of McArthur, Juanita McCune of Millfield and Patricia Barkie of Albany.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie McCartney and Gladys Comston; one brother, Jack Wigal and a granddaughter, Pamela Corbin.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, December 24, 2007 at the Zaleski Freewill Baptist Church, with Rev. Ferrell Rood officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Zaleski. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Sunday from 4-8 P.M. with a Redman Lodge service at 7 P.M. and on Monday, one hour prior to the services at the church.
