Rev. Kenneth Paul Mckibben

Rev. Kenneth Paul McKibben, 81, of Zaleski, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born May 9, 1926 in Vinton County, son of the late Everett and Octa Peters McKibben. Kenneth was married to Esther McCathren McKibben, who survives.

He worked at Austin Powder, was WW II Navy Veteran and an Ordained Minister. Kenneth was the former mayor, former Marshal and a member of the fire department in Zaleski.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael McKibben and Ronald Cathy McKibben of Chillicothe; three daughters, Pam Steve Fout of Florida, Janice McKibben of Oak Hill and Melody Lowell Martin of Zaleski; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one brother, Fred Lorna McKibben of The Plains.

Kenneth was preceded in death by one brother Arthur McKibben and one sister, Mary Aileen McKibben.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. John Burris officiating. Interment will be in Madison Freewill Baptist Cemetery in Zaleski, with military graveside services being conducted by the Vinton County VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4-8 P.M.
