Anna Lee Mcmanis

Anna Lee McManis, 71, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2007, quietly in her home following an extended illness. She was born December 16, 1936 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Guy Remmington and Bonnie Grace Cassill Graves. Anna was married to Johnnie H. McManis, who survives.

She was a lifelong resident of Vinton County and centered her life on caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. Anna retired from the Vinton County School System and was a member of the Allensville Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Kathy Michael Sowers, Kris Ricky Graves, Bruce McManis and Paul Rhonda McManis; eight grandchildren, Matthew Melissa Sowers, Stephen Libby Graves, Elizabeth Adam Sowers Grubb, Johnathon McManis, Rebeca McManis, Michael Paul McManis, Jacob McManis and Zack Ousley; one brother, Marvin Wilma Graves of Chillicothe and a half sister, Alice Bob Adams.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Roger Couch and a niece, Rebecca Couch.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Riley Coleman and Rev. Clyde Graves officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 4-8 P.M.

Anna was a loving spouse, mother and friend, always putting the needs of others first. She will be greatly missed.
