Mary Elizabeth Evans

Mary Elizabeth Evans, 84, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Pickaway Manor Care Center in Circleville. She was born March 22, 1923 in Vinton Township, Vinton County, daughter of the late Alva S. and Ethel Wells Collins Sr.

Mary retired from Kinnear Manufacturing after 24 years where she was the payroll clerk.

She is survived by a niece Joanne Harlan Jeffers of Circleville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by three sisters, Ora Juanita Zea, Sylvia Pearl Collins and Grace Collins Hall and three brothers, Vern Leroy Collins, Donald O. Collins and Alva Collins Jr.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. William Bales Deacon/Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon until the time of service.
