Sylvia Lucille Stuart, 88, of Logan, passed away January 1, 2008, at the Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born May 8, 1919 in Hocking County, daughter of the late George Washington and Florence Ringhiser Ruff. Sylvia was the widow of the late Kenneth E. Stuart.

She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church and the Bowen House Artist Guild.

Sylvia is survived by two daughters, Linda Don Gainer of Zanesville and Becky Stuart of Highland Haven, Texas; five grandchildren, Aimee, Jenny,
Michael, Jamie and Susan; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Isabelle Ruff of Lancaster and Orville Ruff of Logan; two sisters, Joan Huston of
Logan and Jerri Pavlik of Columbus and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Harry and Porter Ruff; sisters, Vera Johnson and Dessie Nixon and a son, Gary Eugene
Stuart.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, January 5, 2008, at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Jason Sheets officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens,
Rockbridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
