Rodman E. Pickell

Rodman E. Pickell, 51, of McArthur, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born October 9, 1956 in Laurelville, son of John E. Pickell of Port Charlotte, Florida and Helen F. Hart Hysell of Laurelville. Rodman was married to Karen Stevens Pickell, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, David Pickell of McArthur, Rodney Pickell of McArthur, Josh Sexton of Columbus and Michael Danyelle Pickell of Londonderry; one daughter, Kerrie Tim Cox Fields of McArthur; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Marty Pickell of Laurelville and Tommy Hysell of Columbus and three sisters, Jonnie Castle of Chillicothe, Jackie Lall of Dublin and Angel Kern of Columbus.

Rodman was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Breanna Pickell; a sister, Tonya Hysell and a stepfather, Paul Hysell.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M., Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur. Interment will be in Lebanon Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5-8 P.M.
