Frances Marie Hashman, 84, of Corning, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2007 at her residence. She was born August 30, 1923 in Jackson County, daughter of the late John and Mary Allen. Frances was the widow of the late Avard L. “Babe” Hashman.
Frances was formerly the secretary of Hashman Roofing Company, a member of the Golden Wings CB club and formerly worked at the Nickels Bakery in Nevar, Ohio.
She is survived by a son, John Connie Hashman of Corning; daughter-in-law, Judy Hashman of Glouster; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Lucy James Young of Jacksonville and special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Watson, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Post Sr. and Mrs. Helen Lee.
In addition to her husband and parents, Frances was preceded in death by a son, Larry Hashman; two grandchildren, Susan and Jerry Hashman and two brothers, Morgan and Elroy Henry.
The Hashman family would like to extend a special thanks to Jessica McKee, Helen Lee, Brandee Whissen, Heather Partee and Carolyn “Red” Finn for their tireless love and care during Mrs. Hashman’s illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 12:00 P.M. at Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main Street, Glouster with Pastor Ernie Eing officiating. Interment will be at Zion Cemetery, Portersville, Ohio in Morgan County. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
