Dorothy E. Martin, 85, of Zaleski, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born October 30, 1922 in Zaleski, daughter of the late Edward and Mary O'Leary Tripp. Dorothy was the widow of the late Willard ""Red"" Martin.

She retired from Madison Township where she was Trustee Clerk for many years, was a 1940 graduate of Brown Zaleski High School and was a life long member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Zaleski.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Karen Phillip Colley and Patricia William Bartoe both of Zaleski; six grandchildren, Kelly Faulkner, Billy Linda Bartoe, Greg Colley, Scott Brandie Bartoe, Chad Natasha Colley and Tracey Jimmy Perry; nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kerri Colley and a brother, William Tripp.

Dorothy's greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, February 9, 2008 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Zaleski with Father Joseph Trapp and Father Richard Engle officiating. Interment will be in St. Sylvester Catholic Cemetery, Zaleski. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Friday from 4-8 P.M., with rosary services being held at 8 P.M.

The family suggests contributions in memory of Dorothy E. Martin be made to the American Cancer Society, 311 ½ West Water St., Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
