Verna M. Jarrell

Verna M. Jarrell, 71, of Logan, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2008 at the Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born February 9, 1936 in Crum, West Virginia, daughter of the late Aaron and Ruth Bowen Marcum. Verna was the widow of the late John Jarrell.

She retired as a Data Entry Operator for the State of Ohio.

Verna is survived by son, Mark Lisa Jarrell of Logan; grandson, Michael L. Tonya Dillard of Lancaster; brothers, Don Amy Marcum of Grayson, Kentucky and Lester Betty Marcum of Homer, Ohio; sisters, Faye Chester Abshire of New Albany, Ohio and Irene Wendell Duty of Naugatuck, West Virginia; foster sister, Donna Lynn Marcum of Bremen and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Ringwalt.

Verna's wish was to be cremated. Family and friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan on Sunday from 1-4 P.M.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Verna M. Jarrell to FairHope Hospice, 1111 E. Main St., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
