James Daniel ""Jim"" Scalf, 35, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. He was born December 18, 1972 in Columbus, son of James Tommy and Linda Raeleen Landis Scalf of Mt. Sterling.
Jim was an avid hunter, fisherman, and all around outdoorsman. He was a track hoe operator for Kokosing Construction, a volunteer firefighter for Washington Twp., a member of the N.R.A. and Operating Engineers Local No. 18.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Paige Scalf and Jadan Hunter Scalf both of Logan; brother, Todd Scalf of Grove City; sister, Tammy Jim Meinhart of Highlands Ranch, CO; two nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Ruth Hise England and paternal grandparents, James and Helen Scalf.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Interment is in Laurel Cemetery, Gibisonville. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M at the funeral home.
