Marvin M. Myers

Marvin M. Myers, 68, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Four Winds Nursing Facility in Jackson. He was born April 2, 1939 in Oak Hill, Ohio, son of the late Austin and Evelyn Adams Myers.

Marvin retired as a coal miner and truck driver. He was a Navy Veteran, a member of the American Legion in Wellston Post #371, a lifetime member of the McArthur VFW Post #5299 and a lifetime member of the DAV Post #45.

Marvin is survived by his soul mate, Euna Roof of McArthur; daughter, Robin Ken Hubbard Ross of Toccoa, Georgia; six grandchildren, Michael and Niki Myers, Christina Whisenhunt, Matthew and Joshua Figge and Rebecca Mills; two great grandchildren, Genavieve Whisenhunt and Isabella Figge; two brothers, James Lois Myers of Indiana and John Margaret Myers of Michigan and a sister, Betty Jim Bond of Gallipolis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Myers; brothers, Thomas, Robert and Merrill Myers and a great grandchild, Skylor Whisenhunt.

A memorial benefit will be held Monday, February 25, 2008 at the McArthur VFW Post #5299 at 7 P.M. As per Marvin wishes, cremation has taken place and no calling hour will be observed. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
