Margaret A. ""Peggy"" Galvin, 86, of Nelsonville, passed away, Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Logan Health Care Center. She was born May 3, 1921 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late George F. and Rosa C. Bauer Freer. She was the widow of Thomas Galvin who passed away June 3, 2001.

She retired from the Dry Dock Coal Co., graduated from Nelsonville High School in 1938, was a member of the Nelsonville First United Methodist Church and was a Past State President of the Emblem Club.

Peggy is survived by sisters-in-law, Norma Godenschwager, Sundy Freer and Elizabeth Galvin all of Nelsonville and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by, a sister, Elsie Hoover and brothers, James F. and George F. ""Ted"" Freer.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville with Rev. Karen Walters officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville
