Eleanor Davis

Eleanor Davis, 84, of The Plains, passed away, Monday, March 24, 2008 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus. She was born November 6, 1923 in Athens County, the daughter of the late James Noah and Lucille H. Somers Weaver. She was the widow of Harold L. Davis who passed away November 16, 2006.

Eleanor was formerly the cafeteria supervisor at the old East Elementary school in Nelsonville and was the co-owner of Nelsonville Weld with her husband, Harold. She was a faithful member of the Nelsonville Church of the Nazarene for more than 50 years.

Eleanor is survived by two sons, Jim Diane Davis of Nelsonville and Pete Debbie Davis of Melbourne, Florida; a daughter, Phyllis Jerry Enderle of Marietta; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Imogene Ed Poling of Somerset, Sandra Sloan of Sarasota, Florida; and brothers, Dow Judy Weaver of Sandusky and Robert Barbara Weaver of Lancaster.

In addition to her parents and husband, Harold, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Doug Davis, infant brothers, Jerry and Jimmy Weaver and an infant sister, Margaret Louise Weaver.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Nelsonville Church of the Nazarene, 15275 SR 691, Nelsonville with Rev. Ed True officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 5-8 PM and one hour prior to the service at the church.
