Rickey Curtis Cullison, 56, of Nelsonville passed away Thursday, April 3, 2008 at his residence. He was born July 20, 1951 in Columbus, son of the late Ralph and Norma Slazer Cullison. Rickey was married for 25 years to Terry Miller Cullison, who survives.
He was a veteran of both the United States Marines and the United States Air Force. Rickey received his associate degree in Aircraft Airframe and Power Plant from Columbus State Community College and became an aircraft mechanic. He was an avid horseman and proudly trained race horses for many horse owners in Ohio. He was formerly a basketball coach for the Nelsonville Greyhounds and was a huge Columbus Crew Fan. He was an all around outdoorsman who liked to fish, hunt and watch birds.
In addition to his wife, Rickey is survived by two sons, Randy Lisa Cullison of Logan and Rickey Tabbie Cullison II of Nelsonville; a daughter, Bobbi Cullison of Nelsonville; two grandchildren, Lacey and Curt Cullison; one brother, Terry Cullison of Murray City and two sisters, Cathy Braun of Hot Springs, North Carolina and Sue Jerry Gould of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jeff Cullison.
Funeral service will be held 11 A.M., Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
