Reece Alford Oney

Reece Alford Oney, 67, of Columbus, formerly of McArthur, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. He was born December 26, 1940 in McArthur, son of the late Reece Oney and Emma Morrison Oney Stevens. Alford was married to Donna Howes Oney, who survives.

He was a retired electrician and an Air Force Veteran.

In addition to his wife, Alford is survived by brothers, Eugene Faye Oney of Alabama, Alvin E. Jean Oney of Ohio and Floyd Diana Oney of Florida; sisters, Mary Skip Cogley of Florida, Rita Junior Williams of Ohio, Angela Claggett of Ohio and Sherry Brobst of Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, April 21, 2008, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor David Hunt officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 3-5 P.M.
