Orville L. Barron, 89, of McArthur, passed away Friday, April 25, 2008, at Huston Nursing Home in Hamden. He was born June 7, 1918 in Nelsonville, son of the late John C. Barron and Mamie Maude Long Barron Lee. Orville was the widow of the late Eva M. Barron, who passed away December 10, 2007.
He retired from Kaiser Aluminum, was a member of the Vinton County Farm Bureau and was an avid hunter.
He is survived by two sons, William Debra Barron of New Matamoras, Ohio and Terry Bobbie Barron of Laurelville; two daughters, Connie Jake Coleman of McArthur and Jeri Barron of Sherman Oaks, California; six grandchildren, Heath Tami Coleman, Jason Coleman, Jeremy Lindsay Barron, Brooke Kevin Founds, Billy and Ashley Barron; seven great grandchildren; A.J., Elizabeth, Grant, Marshal, Hayden and Cooper Coleman and Emily Founds and a sister, Mary Steinbeck of Gallipolis.
In addition to his parents and wife, Orville was preceded in death by brothers, C. Rothbe Barron, Arthur W. Barron and John Barron.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Monday, April 28, 2008, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Charles Hall officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Richland Township. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 5-8 P.M.
