Pauline K. Woodard, 62, of South Bloomingville, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. She was born June 18, 1945, in Vinton County, daughter of the late Thomas and Laurabelle Mercer Stevens. Pauline was the widow of the late John C. Woodard.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Valerie Evans of Dundas, Matthew Charlotte Evans of McArthur and Daniel Misty Linton Evans of McArthur; two daughters, Paula Ronald Canter of Oak Hill and Fran Chuck Thiel of Michigan; several grandchildren, one great grandchild; five brothers, Kenny Kathy Stevens of McArthur, Rocky Connie Stevens of McArthur, David Stevens of South Bloomingville, Tim Diane Stevens of Londonderry and Norman O'Hara of Logan and three sisters, Patty Frank Davis of South Bloomingville, Marcella Gary Roister of Londonderry and Connie Bob Rooker of Circleville.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Stevens and a sister, Violet Stevens-Anderson.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Chestnut Grove Church in South Bloomingville with Rev. Jim Wine officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, South Bloomingville. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Monday, from 6-8 P.M. and on Tuesday, one hour prior to the services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
