Martha Lou Young

Martha Lou Young, 66, of Nelsonville, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville. She was born December 22, 1941, in Marion, Ohio, daughter of the late Lawrence and Alpha Omega Koon Saunders. Martha was the widow of the late Albert Thomas Young.

She attended several churches in the area.

Martha is survived by sons, Thomas Lori Young of Nelsonville and Tony Bessie Hodge Young of Columbus; daughter, Elizabeth Johnny Collins Young of Nelsonville; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Paul Saunders of Nelsonville and Walter Saunders of Bucyrus and a sister, Carolyn Howard of Kentucky.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Douglas and Donald Young and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 P.M. and on Tuesday, one hour prior to the services.

The family suggests contributions be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
