Geneva E. Griggs

Geneva E. Griggs, 90, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Logan Health Care Center. She was born August 18, 1917, in Perry County, daughter of the late Pearly F. and Lucy Sheets Howdyshell. Geneva was the widow of the late Carl E. Griggs.

She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and several other community organizations.

Geneva is survived by her family Helen and John Wilson of Logan; Carol and Robert Henderson of Lancaster and several other close relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, June 9, 2008, at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Logan with Pastor Steve Hubbard officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday, from 2-8 P.M. at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan and on Monday one hour prior to the services at the church. No calling hours will be observed on Sunday.
