Gladys I. Kinney Lowder, 83, of McArthur, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Twin Maples Nursing Home in McArthur. She was born July 18, 1924, in New Marshfield, daughter of the late James and Cecilia Chaffin Molihan. Gladys was the widow of the late Donald Lowder.
She retired from Austin Powder.
Gladys is survived by a son, Carl Karen Kinney of Hamden; daughter, Gloria Herbert Gilliland of McArthur; three grandchildren and a special granddaughter; five great grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Molihan of Ashville and four sisters, Kate Eberts of Hamden, Betty Libby of Jamestown, Velma Pentelton of McArthur and Wilma Flowers of Columbus.
In addition to her parents and second husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Kinney; a sister, Alma Higgins and three brothers, Pat, James Junior and David Molihan.
Graveside services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur from 10 A.M. until the time of the service.
