Jon K. O'Rourke

Jon K. O'Rourke, 47, of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, June 20, 2008, at his residence. He was born August 28, 1960, in Lancaster, son of Georgia Cleland O'Rourke of Nelsonville and the late George Henry O'Rourke. Jon was married to Connie Chesser O'Rourke, who survives.

He was employed at Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville and was a member of the Nelsonville VFW.

In addition to his mother and wife, Jon is survived by sons, Josh Jennifer Bruno and Izzy O'Rourke and Jacob O'Rourke both of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Hunter and Brianna O'Rourke of Chillicothe; brothers, Walter Kim O'Rourke of Amesville and Randy Judy O'Rourke of Junction City and sisters, Ruth Jess Walker of Nelsonville, Connie Keith Palmer of Athens, Cindy Phil Adams of Nelsonville and Becky Jeff Gregory of Logan.

He was preceded in death by a brother, George Sylvan.

Jon's wishes were to be cremated. Memorial services will be held 1 P.M., Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at The Club on Ten Spot Road, follow the signs from Rt. 691. The family requests no flowers. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46, Fayette St., Nelsonville.
