Everett Rowe

Everett Rowe, 73, of Nelsonville, passed away, Saturday, July 26, 2008 at his residence. He was born May 8, 1935 in Lawrence County, the son of the late Gerald and Molly Ackison Rowe.

Everett was a musician for most of his life. He loved playing music and studied briefly at Capital University and even played music for the US Army while he was enlisted during the Korean Conflict. He was a kind, generous man and a dedicated Paw Paw who was always babysitting for his grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved spending time outdoors.

He is survived by a son, Jack Michelle Rowe of Goleta, CA; daughters, Jennifer Charley Brough of Miamisburg, Jill Rowe of Nelsonville, Angel Doug Mace of Nelsonville and Sarah Shane Bruce of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Joshua Rowe, Emily Warren, Savannah Hieronimus, Chance Brough, Johnny Brough, Calista Bruce, Garrett Bruce, Alana Bruce, Christopher Mace and Emily Rowe; brother, Bob Linda Rowe of Monticello, Florida; sister, Judy John Wilkerson Stotts of Oxford, Mississippi; two nephews, Kevin and Rod Rowe of Monticello, Florida; a niece, Debbie Smith of DelRay, Florida and a special friend, Kelly Adams of Murray City.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jamey Rowe and his friend and former wife, Alana Jean McCombs.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. King Kelly officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 4-8 PM.
