David Howe Devore

David Howe DeVore, 46, passed away, Tuesday, July 29, 2008. He was born September 5, 1961 in Nelsonville, son of Julia A. Mark Howe Mechem and the late David M. DeVore. He was married to Jody Zender DeVore, of Lancaster, who survives.

David attended Nelsonville-York Schools and graduated from Hocking College with degrees in Broadcast Engineering & Production Technology and Telecommunications Broadcast Engineering. He was a huge Ohio State fan and was a wonderful, proud and loving father with a great love for music.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by sons, Joseph David DeVore and William Eugene DeVore and step grandmother, Mary Catherine Mechem.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ralph and Amy Howe and step grandfather, Rev. William Mechem.

Private services were held Monday, August 4, 2008 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment was at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. No public services will be observed.
