Wayne Edward Dennis

October 13, 1928 – August 6, 2008

The circle of Wayne's life was completed August 6, 2008 when Jesus welcomed him home. Wayne was surrounded by his family and all are at peace.

Wayne is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 60 years, Mary P. Kennard Dennis, his two children, Mark J. Melanie Dennis of Gahanna and Lisa Gerald Jajowka of Stow, Ohio.

The three brightest jewels in Wayne's crown are his grandchildren, Jareth Jajowka, Leah Dennis and Kelsey Dennis.

Wayne was the happiest when he was doing for others. Cooking and baking were just two of Wayne's many talents.

Wayne was retired from Smead Manufacturing and was an active member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Logan, where he served as a Deacon and worked on the bereavement luncheon crew.

After their move to Gahanna, Wayne and Mary became members of Peace Lutheran Church.

Wayne will also be missed by his loving companion, Zoey.

A celebration of Wayne's life will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clarke State Rd., Gahanna, Ohio, on Saturday, August 9, 2008, at 1:30 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to Odyssey Healthcare, 540 Office Center Place, Suite 100, Gahanna, Ohio 43230 or Lutheran Social Services Food Pantry, 1460 S. Champion St., Columbus, Ohio 43206.
