Robert Lee Brooks

Robert Lee Brooks, 69, of Athens, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at his residence. He was born June 22, 1939, in Athens County, son of the late Christopher and Ethel Perry Brooks.

Robert is survived by two sons, Robert E. Susie Brooks and Raymond E. Tina Brooks both of Chauncey; four daughters, Roberta Morrow of Athens, Ruth Steve Murrell of De Land, Florida, Regeana Dwight Edwards of Athens and Robbin Charlie Brooks of De Land, Florida; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Barney Freda Brooks of Athens and five sisters, Mary Baker, Ella Holley, Addie Gould and Louella Savage all of Athens and Martha Bill Coakley of Logan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie Brooks; son, Raymond Brooks; two grandchildren, Timothy Six and Diamond Morrow and great grandson, Blade Costo Nickelson.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Friday, August 15, 2008, in Salem Community Church, Waterlou Township, Athens County, with Pastor Robert Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery. Friends may call at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville on Thursday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. and on Friday, one hour prior to the services at the church.
