Walter Franklin ""Frank"" Carrel, 67, of New Plymouth, formerly of Galloway, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008, at his residence. He was born May 25, 1941, in Columbus, son of the late Bill and Theresa Mason Carrel. Frank was married for 47 years to Barbara Crum Carrel, who survives.
He retired from Utility Truck Equipment in Circleville and was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.
Frank is survived by sons, Bruce Jannine Carrel of Powell and Wes Sherry Carrel of Galloway; daughter, Alena Charles Wotring of New Plymouth; eight grandchildren, Karissa Chappalear, Brad, Brooke, Chris and Clay Carrel and Nik, Sean and Carlie Wotring; many nieces, nephews cousins and scores of friends and neighbors; two brothers, John Carrel of Circleville and Jake Carrel of Cincinnati; sister-in-law, Eva Williams of Proctorville and uncle and aunts, Marvin and Janice Mason of Florida and Betty Davie of Grove City.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Bryan Carrel and brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ann Buck.
Funeral services will be 10 A.M., Thursday, August 28, 2008 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Michael Buck officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6-8 P.M.
