David Lee Barber

David Lee ""Nat Man"" Barber, 58, of Nelsonville, passed away, Sunday, August 24, 2008. He was born May 20, 1950 in Nelsonville, son of the late Stephen Roland and Jeanette Catherine Hanning Barber.

David was a member of the Nelsonville First Christian Church and was an avid swimmer and diver for which he won many awards. He spent most of his life in California where he loved the warm weather and the fast paced lifestyle. He attended the Woodstock music festival August 15 – 17 in 1969. He loved Rock and Roll music, Ohio State football and watching for UFO's.

He is survived by a brother, Denis Barber of Nelsonville; a daughter, Emily Michelle Barber of Tennessee; a nephew, Tyler Barber of Nelsonville; a niece, Jocelyn Barber of Buchtel; three aunts, Phyllis Barber of Murray City, Betty Vernon of Logan and Orpha Campbell of Columbus; and many cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Thursday from 12-2 PM at the funeral home.
