Alice L. Dunn

Alice L. Dunn, 82, of Chauncey, passed away, Saturday, August 30, 2008 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens. She was born March 25, 1926 in Delaware County, the daughter of the late Roy Siders and Emma Elliott. She was the widow of the late William Dunn.

Alice was a dispatcher for the Ohio State Highway Patrol for 10 years and retired from the Adult Parole Authority in Columbus after more than 35 years.

She is survived a son, Harold Mary Breece of Chauncey; grandchildren, Pamela James Hawkins of Delaware, Wanda Breece of Marengo and David Florence Schamehorn of Lancaster; great grandchildren, Jamie Hawkins and Taylor Nichole Starner; two brothers, Roy Virginia Siders of Ostrander and Robert Ruth Siders of Delaware and a brother-in-law, Arnold Carter of Ostrander.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanie Carter.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 5, 2008 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Michael Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
