George J. Auflick

George J. ""G.J"" Auflick, 37, of Nelsonville, passed away, Friday, September 5, 2008 following an extended illness. He was born April 11, 1971 in Nelsonville, son of Nancy McGrath David Balch Auflick of Nelsonville and Delbert Auflick of Myrtle Beach, SC. He was married to Marsha Lowery Auflick, who survives.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a stepson, Zachary Sasha McCombs of Nelsonville; a stepdaughter, Heather McCombs of Nelsonville; his very special dog, Tito; two grandchildren, Logan and Caleb McCombs; brothers, Delbert Joanna Auflick and Robert Auflick both of Nelsonville; sister, Wendy Jo Auflick of Myrtle Beach, SC; nephew, Chris Auflick; niece, Kelsey Auflick; uncles, Donald McGrath of Nelsonville, Robert Terri McGrath of Athens and Mike Pearl McGrath of Nelsonville; aunts, Kathy Gary Starr of Florida and Margaret Willison of New Marshfield; many cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Auflick; uncle, Steve McGrath, maternal grandparents, Betty and Joe Mount and Lester McGrath; paternal grandparents, George and Katherine Auflick and a great uncle, Hersh Donna Hemrick

Funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. King Kelly officiating. Interment will be at Carbon Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, September 8, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
