James G. Pete Mccort

James G. ""Pete"" McCort, 61, of Logan, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008 at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. He was born October 13, 1946, in Zanesville, son of the late Charles D. and Magdalen Ritzert McCort. Pete was married to Margaret Dimmerling McCort, who survives.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a Vietnam Army Veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Scott M. Cathy McCort of Dublin and Ryan J. Michelle McCort of Westerville; daughters, Lisa A. Teresa Eisel McCort of Columbus and Kim K. Phil Couch of Worthington; five grandchildren; brothers, David Judy McCort and Mick Teresa McCort both of Logan and a sister, Nancy Jim Dysert of Marietta.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, September 11, 2008 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Father David Gaydosik officiating. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery. Military Graveside Services will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6-8 P.M., and on Thursday, one hour prior to the services. Christian wake services will be held at 7:30 P.M at the funeral home.
