Santford L. Jolley

Santford L. Jolley, 76, of Columbus, passed away, Friday, September 19, 2008 at the Laurels of Norworth Nursing Center in Worthington. He was born August 8, 1932 in Carbondale, son of the late Clifford and Wilma O'Hara Jolley. He was the widower of the late Marie Lanna Johnston Jolley.

Santford graduated from Waterloo High School, and was formerly employed by Ohio Malleable Iron Company for 21 years was an Environmentalist for the federal government until he retired. He also owned several businesses over the years including Paul's Pizza Shop in Worthington, Armando's Pizza and Carryout on E. Main St. in Columbus, Jolley's Market/Marie's Carryout on Pennsylvania Ave. in the Short North and also owned multiple properties. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by two daughters, Sandy David Yablonski of Dublin and Cherie Rusty Sharp of Logan; two sons, J.R. Delta Jolley and Jackie Jolley both of Columbus; four stepsons, two grandchildren, Melissa Sharp of Logan and Rusty Sharp II of Columbus; a great grandson, Chase Sharp; numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, David Bev Jolley of Canal Winchester and Darrell ""Dyke"" Ginny Jolley; sisters, Merle Max Katzenbach of Delaware and Esther John Scragg of Shade and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, and wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Chad and Jimmy Jolley.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Kevin Kinnison officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Monday, September 22, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
