Donald Edwin Mason

Donald Edwin Mason, 52, of Thornville, passed away, Friday, September 19, 2008 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster. He was born October 17, 1955 in Logan, son of Russel E. and Leona M. Mock Mason of Logan. He was married to Cindy R. Smith Mason, who survives, for 31 years.

Donald graduated from Logan High School in 1974 and was employed by Buckeye Power. He was a member of the Thornville United Methodist Church, was a local missionary to the New Life Community Church, and was involved in multiple church ministries; New Ark Emmaus Community, SuperKids Ministries and Koinonia. He also enjoyed cooking and bowling.

In addition to his parents and wife he is survived by a daughter, Ashley Elizabeth-Mae Mason of Thornville; a brother, Larry D. ""Moe"" Mason of Logan and a sister, Diane M. Mason of Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Casel and Ina Mason and Lena and Louis Mock.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Thornville United Methodist Church, 30 East Columbus St. with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating. Cremation will take place following the services. Friends may call Monday, September 22, 2008 from 6-8 PM at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan and one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the New Life Community Church, P.O. Box 426, Hebron, Ohio 43025 for the Don Mason Benefit.
