Cecil R. Sanborn Jr.

Cecil R. Sanborn Jr., 73, of Laurelville, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. He was born May 1, 1935 in Athens County, son of the late Cecil R. and Lena Vermaten Sanborn Sr. Cecil was married to Ethel Atwell Sanborn, who survives.

He was a retired truck driver.

Cecil is survived by sons, Jeff Rhonda Sanborn of Stouts Ville, Ohio, David Fowler of Columbus and Scott Fowler of Columbus; daughters, Deborah Little of Colorado, Penny Queen of Lancaster, Sheila Sanborn of Rockbridge and Jade Fowler of Columbus; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Elmer, Daniel, Dwight, Foster and Bart Sanborn and a sister, Edna Love.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Sanborn and two sisters, Helen Pancake and Ada Mae Barnhart.

Private services will be held and no calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
