Herbert Dale Ousley

Herbert Dale Ousley, 74, of Creola, passed away Monday, October 6, 2008 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born May 23, 1934, in Vinton County, son of the late Elkaney and Martha Prater Ousley. Herbert was the widow of the late Florence Catherine Hughes Ousley.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator.

Herbert is survived by sons, Herbert Eugene Shirley Ousley of New Plymouth, Jerry D. Diane Ousley of McArthur and Clarence Michael Kendra Ousley of Creola; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers, O.C. and Burton Ousley both of Mansfield and sisters, Pearl Ousley of Dundas and Barbara Robison of Mansfield;

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Holly, Jim and Wayne Ousley and a sister Gertrude Ousley.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Thursday, October 9, 2008, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5-8 P.M.
