Louis E. Verberg

Louis E. Verberg, 81, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. He was born September 6, 1927, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late James E. and Elizabeth Magilacutty Verberg. Louis was the widow of the late Wendy Joan Dyer Verberg.

He was a retired oil field worker and a WWII Navy Veteran.

Louis is survived by one son, Louis Verberg of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; stepson, Harold Hay of Florida; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one sister, Betty Patton of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Beverly Blake; his first wife, Marge Verberg and two brothers, James and Thomas Verberg.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Friday, October 10, 2008 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Justin Rader officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, one hour prior to the services.
