Richard E. Hartman, 75, of Logan, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2008 at his residence. He was born June 5, 1933 in Franklin County, son of the late George F. and Hilda Carpenter Hartman. Richard was the widower of the late Alice Bryant Hartman.
He retired from the Logan Post Office, was an Army Veteran, a member of the Logan Eagles and Windy Hills Golf Course.
Richard is survived by sons, Gregory Jana Hartman of Logan, Richard A. Joann K. Hartman of Logan, Bryant Katrina Hartman of Caldwell, Ohio and George C. Teresa Hartman of Pataskala; daughter, Rogena Estell of Logan; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Walsh of Logan and brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Judy Bryant of Pickerington.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hartman and brother-in-law, James Walsh.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, October 29, 2008 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Steve Hubbard officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, with Military Graveside Services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M., with Eagles services being held at 7 P.M.
The family suggests contributions be made in memory of Richard E. Hartman, to Ebenezer Baptist Church Building Fund, 7094 Twp. Rd. 234 SW, Logan, Ohio 43138.
