Garth Evans Trappe

Garth Evans Trappe, 77, of New Straitsville, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008 at his residence. He was born July 15, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Adolph Paul and Charlotte Evans Trappe. Garth was married to the late Helen Evans Trappe.

He worked at Savings Hardware in Logan and was a Korean Army Veteran.

Garth is survived by a son, Garth Peggy Trappe II of Columbus; daughter, Jennifer James Jaconette of Columbus; two grandchildren, Amanda and Anthony Jaconette and two sisters, Sharlene Shoup of Gahanna and Marwynne Serafy of East Liverpool.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Majean Distelhorst.

Private graveside services will be held Thursday, November 6, 2008 in Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
