Douglas Henry Morris

Douglas Henry Morris, 58, of Dundas, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born December 6, 1949, in Jenkins, Kentucky, son of the late Joseph and Lilly Stewart Morris. Doug was married to Nancy Mace Morris, who survives.

He was a former sawmiller, a member of the McArthur Eagles and attended Maggie Home Church in Dundas.

In addition to his wife, Doug is survived by a son, Clay Morris; daughters, Tammy Hale, Carey Michael Skeens, Deven Matt Prater and Cassie Morris all of Dundas; nine grandchildren; brothers, Mickey Morris of Dundas and Steve Morris of Hamden and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Morris and a grandson, Matthew Ryan Prater.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Sunday, November 16, 2008 in Maggie Home Church, Dundas, with Rev. Greg Sowers, Rev. Johnny Newsome and Rev. Donald Mullins officiating. Interment will be in Mullins Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call after 4 P.M., Friday, November 14, 2008, at the Maggie Home Church in Dundas until the time of the service on Sunday. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
