Ronald E. Daubenmire

Ronald E. Daubenmire, 70, of Sugar Grove, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at his residence. He was born October 28, 1938, in Hocking County, son of the late Jesse and Odessa Jackson Daubenmire. Ron was married to Rita Aucker Daubenmire, who survives.

He was a retired school bus driver for the Logan Hocking School District and was formerly employed by Kilbarger Construction and Jurgensmier Heating. Ron was best known by his family and friends for the remarkable person and carpenter that he was. He was an avid hunter and loved spending time with his family. To his family, he was a true hero and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by a son, Michael Daubenmire; two daughters, Deb Daubenmire and Laura Ron Stilson, all of Sugar Grove; six grandsons, Jeremy, Joshua Julie, Jason and Justin Daubenmire all of Logan, Cody and Corbin Daubenmire both of Sugar Grove; a granddaughter, Alyssa Daubenmire of Rockbridge; six great grandchildren; a brother, Gary Jennie Daubenmire of Logan and three sisters, Louella McClaskey and Betty Dickson both of Lancaster and Sharon Richard Shannon of Logan.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Lavey and Jean Saunders Wourinen.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Friday, November 21, 2008 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 Second St., Logan with Pastor Lyle Bainter officiating. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4-8 P.M.

The family suggests contributions be made in memory of Ronald E. Daubenmire to FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
