Frank Leon Frizzell

Frank Leon Frizzell, 86, of Creola, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born October 12, 1922, in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Frank and Mabel Clara Grimm Frizzell. Frank was married for 65 years to Evelyn Jean Browning Frizzell, who survives.

He retired as an office machine salesman and repairman and was a WWII Navy Veteran. Frank was a member of the Locust Grove United Methodist Church in Creola, the Black Diamond Masonic Lodge #538 in Wellston, the Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Temple Shrine, Ohio Priory #18 Knights York Cross of Honor and was a Sunday School Superintendent for eight years in Powell, Ohio.

In addition to his wife Evelyn, Frank is survived by a son, Frank B. Peggy Frizzell of Circleville; daughters, Patricia J. Larry Votaw of Creola and Rebecca Ann Donald Tinch of Chillicothe; a foster son, Randy Houghland of McArthur; six grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Elizabeth Hawkins of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Stephen D. Votaw and Jennifer Lynn Tinch.

Funeral services will be held 3 P.M., Sunday, November 23, 2008 in the Locust Grove United Methodist Church, Creola, with Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Saturday, from 5-8 P.M. with Masonic Services being held at 7:30 P.M. and on Sunday at the church, one hour prior to the services.
