James D. Maxwell

October 27, 1939 — November 24, 2008

James D. Maxwell, 69, of New Plymouth, passed away Monday, November 24, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born October 27, 1939, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late James D. and Edna Mae Herrmann Maxwell. Jim was married for 43 years to Susan Warren Maxwell, who survives.

Along with his wife, he owned and operated Ravenwood Castle. Jim retired from Fairfield County District Library and was a member of the McArthur United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Amy Forrest Gibson of Columbus and Jennifer Mark Chambers of Westerville; a grandson, Max Owen Chambers and a sister, Joan D. Maxwell of Delaware, Ohio.

Private graveside services will be held in Bethel Cemetery, Vinton County with the Reverend Doctor Walt Goble officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.

Norwalk, CT 06851.
