Merle Peasel Hartman

September 22, 1929 — November 28, 2008

Merle ""Peasel"" Hartman 82 of Logan passed away November 28, 2008 in Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster. He was born September 22, 1926 in Gore, Ohio son of the late Walter and Blanche Nutter Hartman. He was married to Pauline Robinette Hartman who survives. They have been married for 62 years.

Peasel retired as a Field Auditor for the Ohio Dept. of Workers Compensation, was a Navy WW II Veteran, was former plant accountant for Carborundum in Logan, was a member of Windy Hills Golf Course, and was a former member of the Logan Moose, Amvets, and VFW.

He is survived by sons Michael, Jan, and Kelly Hartman all of Logan, Donald Curt Gage Hartman of Cleveland. Daughters Pam Tom Cornn of Athens, Dianne Patterson of McConnelsville, and Beth Jim Cooke of Logan. 9 Grandchildren and 2 Step Grandchildren.

Peasel was preceded in death by Brothers Floyd, Ernie, and Harold Hartman, a sister Irene Hall, and 1 Step Grandson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday in the Cardaras Funeral Home 183 E. Second St. Logan, with Rev. Steve Hubbard officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8PM. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Hocking Co. Color Guard Unit.
