Susie B. Gibson

Susie B. Gibson, 68, of McArthur, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Twin Maples Nursing Home in McArthur. She was born August 23, 1940, in Kentucky, daughter of the late Jay and Polly Bentley Scarberry. Susie was the widow of the late James E. Gibson Sr.

She was a member of Harkins Chapel Church in McArthur.

Susie is survived by sons, Chris Scarberry, James E. Pam Gibson Jr., Jay Gibson and Willard Gibson all of McArthur; daughters, Janet Perry of Wellston and Virginia Danny Lafferty of McArthur; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren and two brothers, Eugene Scarberry of Columbus and George Scarberry McArthur.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Verse and two brothers, Willard and Edward Scarberry.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, December 4, 2008 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Minton officiating. Interment will be in Pawpaw Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
