Arretta Bartlett

Arretta ""Aunt Ret"" Bartlett, 94, of Nelsonville, passed away, Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Logan Health Care Center. She was born February 26, 1914 in Athens County, the daughter of the late John and Mary Powell Bartlett.

Arretta was a faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church in Nelsonville and was retired from Ohio University.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, George and Pyam Bartlett and sisters, Grace Kovaleski, Majel McCombs, Essie Ervin and Jessie Coe.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the United Pentecostal Church, 785 Jackson St., Nelsonville with Rev. Ivan Pullin and Rev. Lewis Dunnells officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Wednesday, December 17, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville and one hour prior to the service at the church.
