Willis Foster Pug Jordan

Willis Foster ""Pug"" Jordan, 85, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born January 11, 1923 in Ironton, son of the late Foster and Eva Alice White Jordan.

He was an auto body repairman and attended McArthur Free Will Baptist Church.

Foster is survived by three sons, Richard Betty Jordan of McArthur, Bill Sharon Jordan of Wellston and Roger Linda Jordan of Allensville; two stepsons, Gary Potter of Michigan and David Jean Potter of Canton; stepdaughter, Margaret Ronnie Winters of Wellston; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Paul Davis of Londonderry; sister-in-law, Rowena Prater of McArthur and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Jimmy Jordan; his first wife, Faustina Jordan; his second wife, Myrtle Jordan; a great grandson, Jeffrey Jordan; three brothers, Arlie Gene and George Jordan and Emerson Kendrick and three sisters, Evelyn Nichols, Sarah Lee Perkins and Eunice Fife.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, December 27, 2008 in the McArthur Free Will Baptist Church, 408 W. Main St., McArthur with Rev. Jim Henderson and Rev. Jerry Griffith Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Pawpaw Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Friday, from 5-8 P.M. and on Saturday at the church one hour prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in memory of Willis Foster Jordan to the McArthur Free Will Baptist Church, 408 W. Main St., McArthur, Ohio 45651 or to the American Lung Association of Ohio, 1950 Arlington Lane, Columbus Ohio 43228.
