Leah Jean Bare

Leah Jean Bare, 59, of Columbus, formerly of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born June 18, 1949, in Logan, daughter of Green Bentley of Corning and the late Rose Palmer Bentley. Leah was married to John Wesley Bare, who survives.

She formerly worked in the Columbus Public Library.

In addition to her husband, Lean is survived by a son, John Jason Rebecca Freer Bare of South Bloomfield; a daughter, Stacie Lynn Michael Webster Bare of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Zachary Bare, Joe Bare-Webster, Ethan Bare, Brandon and Laken Wolf; a brother, Jerry Ella Bentley of Logan; mother-in-law, Bertha Bare of Columbus and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, January 5, 2009 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
