Carl Edward Smith

Carl Edward Smith, 81, of Logan, passed away Friday, January 16, 2009 at his residence. He was born October 29, 1927 in Perry County, son of the late Arthur J. and Berndetta Aurand Smith. Carl was married to Joanne Mohler Smith, who survives.

He was a full time farmer, WWII Army Veteran and attended Webbs Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by a son, Gary Jeri Smith of Logan; a daughter, Pamela David Smith of The Plains; four grandchildren, Serena, Kevin, Jodi and Noah Smith; a great grandson, Jared Smith and a sister, Letha Don Kinnaman of Columbus.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. David Rohrer officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Perry County with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
