Richard Lee Shuck Sr.

February 20, 1936 — January 16, 2009

Richard Lee Shuck Sr., 72, of New Plymouth, passed away Friday, January 16, 2009 at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. He was born February 20, 1936, in Fayetteville, West Virginia, son of the late Edgar T. and Mary Alice Martin Shuck. Richard was married to Emma Jean Walsh Shuck, who survives.

He was a retired state meat inspector and an Air Force Veteran. Richard was a member of the Logan Amvets, United Commercial Travelers, the Sunrise Masonic Lodge #0783 in Westerville and he was a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by sons, Brian Shuck of Union Furnace, Barry Cheri Shuck of New Plymouth and Richard Shuck Jr. of New Plymouth; daughters, Judy Ann Mark Anderson of Grove City and Mary Steve Jordan of New Plymouth; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Kathleen Shuck of Catlett, West Virginia; sisters, Rebecca Corwin of Pataskala, Betty Richard Wilson of Lancaster and Barbara Price of Fayetteville, West Virginia and a special friend, Eudorla Andrews of Hebron.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by an infant sister, Dolores Shuck.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. where a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 P.M.
