Helen R. Knoderer

Helen R. Knoderer, 91, of Bishopville, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009 at her residence. She was born March 7, 1917 in Preble County, Ohio, daughter of the late George and Lucy Phillips Shivadecker. She was the widow of the late Gerald Foster Knoderer.

Helen was a graduate of Lewisburg High School and was co-owner of Forest Hills Golf Course, Bishopville. She was a 55 year member of the Thea Chapter #192 Eastern Star and a 55 year member of the Morgan County Shrine. She was a member of the Glouster United Methodist Church and an active Member of the Three Star Senior Citizen's, Glouster.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy Crawford of Anaheim, CA; grandchildren, Lisa Richard Crawford of Orange, CA, Chrissie Michael Hansen of Anaheim, CA, Jason Misty Knoderer and Christopher Knoderer both of Glouster; five step grandchildren, Joyce Mika, Karen Keller, Craig Kennedy, Colleen ""Peaches"" Kennedy-Holland and Michael Kennedy all of Northern Ohio; 8 great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Macade Hansen, Megan Crawford, Joshua, Kaelyn and Nicole Knoderer, Molly, Micah and Mitch Mika and A.J. and Gina Kennedy-Holland; a sister, Jane Rader of Greenville, a niece, Margaret Sinkhorn of Arcanum, two great nieces, Marie and Jennie both of Florida; former daughter-in-law, Vicky Al Cote of Glouster; friend and caregiver, Alice Ronk of Glouster and her best friend in the world, her dog, BeBe.

In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Knoderer, stepdaughter, Colleen Kennedy, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster, with Pastor Clyde Boring officiating. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, February 13, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. An Eastern Star Service will be conducted Friday at 7:30 PM.
